Our Wing Organizations

Wings are principled organizations that realize the connectedness of social justice issues and recognize that we can be more effective together in a shared struggle for a better world.

Mission Statement
Gentlemen of QualityGentlemen of QualityWe, the Gentlemen of Quality, are a brotherhood dedicated to the principles of leadership, service, and scholarship. We seek the academic, social, and cultural enhancement of our communities, irrespective of race, color, creed, and religion. We recognize, respect, and affirm the diverse backgrounds that bring us together to positively impact the NYU community. We aspire to set standards that will be built upon by future leaders. Through these principles we strive to Keep Inspiring and Nurturing a Gentleman’s Spirit.
Latinos Unidos Con Honor & AmistadLUCHAWe as L.U.C.H.A, an organization for social, political, and cultural education, must struggle to bring about the necessary changes within NYU as well as our respective communities. Any further procrastination on our part will only leave our voices (once living, loud and open to the future) to become fixed, closed on colonial status caught in the yoke of oppression. Our primary goal as an organization is to engage our thoughts, challenge conceptions and provoke new ideas for a better tomorrow.
C-RootsC-RootsCommunity Roots is fundamentally an activist based organization that works to unite the different ethnic communities at New York University to be heard as a united voice for change. Our goal is to motivate and inspire the ethnically diverse student body of the New York University to take definitive action in the face of domestic and international social injustice.
East Harlem Youth CouncilDistrict 8 Youth CouncilWe are a group of 13-21 year-olds whose aim it is to address social justice issues that we identify in our communities. We operate out of District 8, which is currently represented by Council Woman Melissia Mark-Viverito. We seek to make change through the political process and grassroots activities like block parties, film screenings, and protests. We believe that the youth are entitled to a voice that is listened to and acted upon and seek to empower ourselves.
